Going Green

The Darien Park District continually looks to improve the District’s environmental footprint whenever feasible. Due to the District’s mission, environmental impact is always considered when a project or purchase is being completed.

Native Plantings
This Spring, additional native plantings will be added along the shore of Southgrove Pond.
These native plantings help stabilize the shoreline, decrease pollution, and improve air quality.

Community Center Parking Lot and Courtyard
